About the Event

Social Run Club (SRC) in partnership with the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) present the Amazing Vancouver Race. This race in no way is affliated with the TV series The Amazing Race.

Due to the demand for the event, the next and final round of tickets will be open as a random draw. Entry for the random draw will end Friday, Sept 2nd at 11:59pm and the draw for the teams will happen at 1pm the following day (Sat Sept 3rd).

How it works

Similarly to the popular TV show:

  • People will participate in teams of 2
  • The event will be open for 2 hours for teams to get to different locations
  • At each location they will be asked to participate in a challenge/activity
  • Teams will collect raffle entries for a random draw prize at the closing ceremonies
  • There is NOT a prize for the fastest team, this event is meant for everyone to move, connect and have fun.
  • Depending on the route teams will be walking or jogging 4-5K over the event

Agenda

  • 8:45 - Registration opens
  • 9:25 - Rules overview
  • 9:30 - Event Starts at Jack Pool Plaza
  • 11:30 - Event Ends at Lot #19 (855 W Hastings)
  • 11:45 - Closing Ceremonies & Prizes

Team

  • You must participate in a team of two, no single entries are allowed
  • At least one member of the team must have a phone with access to the internet

Activities/Challenges

  • At each station, teams will be asked to complete a task, they will have an opportunity to get raffle draw entry
  • Bonus entries may be available at an activity based on the quality of the task completed or by sharing photos on Social Media (instagram)
  • The challenges are designed to take teams 2-5mins and are meant to be fun

Prizes

There are over $1000 worth of prizes to be randomly drawn for participating teams. At least one team member must be present at the closing ceremories to collect a prize.

Want more chances to win?

  • Get two bonus entries (per team) if your team is dressed in matching colours. Just to be clear, white and black do not count as matching colours.  OR
  • Get four bonus entries (per team) if your team has matching costumes and/or theme.

  • Social Run Club retains the right to remove teams can be removed for inappropriate language or behaviour.
  • All businesses are operational during the event, please be patient with their staff.
  • There will not be bag drops at this event.
  • This event is not meant to be speed based. please be mindful of the other people at store or in public spaces.
  • Tickets cannot be transfered.
